Estimated peak horsepower 375 HP April 17, 1996: This Nova is a 1972 Rally Sport which is identical in all respects (except for VIN) to one I purchased brand new in 1972. Was trying to locate my old car when I found this one. It is the same color, same everything. Purchased this one on 20th anniversary of when I originally bought the '72 from dealership. I immediately did a frame off restoration and spent 3 years working on it. Changed engine to 375 HP 396 which is what I wanted in '72 if they hadnt quit offering it. Has 4-speed, 4.10:1 Positrac, power brakes, power steering, line lock for go, all new paint, new interior, and green neon tubes underneath for show. Scored 860 out of 1,000 at last year's NNN (National Nostalgic Nova) in Harrisburg, PA.
